Journey from a high paying job to a profitable business...
Very few people have the courage to go beyond a stable job, good salary, and a secure future to fulfill their own dreams. Snehal Hasbe from Sangli district is one such name who left her high-paying IT job and started a 'Juice Farm' franchise, choosing the path of entrepreneurship. Her decision not only changed her own life but also created an inspiring opportunity for others.
Snehal Hasbe is originally from Kadambwadi in Miraj taluka of Sangli district. Her father worked at the Sangli District Cooperative Bank, so she received her education in the city. Since childhood, she was instilled with the values of hard work and respect for the land by visiting her father's farm during vacations. A bright student, Snehal earned a degree in Computer Engineering. She then worked at her brother's IT company and later successfully served as a Senior Software Developer at a renowned company.
At the age of 24, she married Devdatt Hasbe, a Class-1 officer in MSEB from Bhivgad. As her husband also had a passion for farming, he had preserved his ancestral grape orchard. Snehal Hasbe Swiftly managed all her responsibilities—her home, job, and family. Her life was happy and stable.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, while working from home, the idea of doing something new grew stronger. It was during this time that a 'Sahyadri Juice Farm' Instagram ad truly inspired her. Her husband, Devdatt Hasbe, visited a Juice Farm in Vita and tasted the juice. He realized that juice isn't just about being sweet and cold. This experience gave Snehal a new business direction with the hope that everyone should get to taste what he had just experienced. She learned how to add value by processing the fruits grown on the farm. During this time, she also understood Sahyadri's journey and her negative perception of farming changed, and her displeasure with her husband's passion for farming disappeared permanently.
Afterward, she thoroughly researched this opportunity. On one hand, she had her job at Capgemini with an annual package of Rs. 10 lakh, and on the other, she had an agri-business. She chose the Juice Farm. In June 2025, she partnered with her colleague Rohini Belhe to start the 'Juice Farm Franchise.' When she started the business, many people advised her not to quit her job, as business is uncertain. But Snehal had complete faith in her own decision and abilities. True to her firm belief, "A job is good for stability, but if you want to fulfill your dreams, you need a business." With this conviction, she resigned from her well-paying job.
In the initial period, her venture received an encouraging response in just three months, generating an income of about Rs. 5.5 lakh. Today, Snehal Hasbe manages the business full-time. Seeing the response to her first franchise shop, she has recently opened a second spacious shop in Sangli city. Through this, she has provided employment to a total of seven women. Her initiative not only benefits her but also provides employment to other women, giving them a platform to come forward in society.
She says that if the sons and daughters of farmers pursue higher education and work to bring agricultural products to the market, farming can definitely regain its glory. By not staying confined to the four walls of a job, Snehal Hasbe chose the path of entrepreneurship and proved that one can not only change their own life but also open new doors of opportunity for others. Her story will surely inspire today's youth and women to consider entrepreneurship.
